Press conference launching the national contest “Overcoming the fear of nCoV”

On January 20, 2022, in Ho Chi Minh City, a press conference was held to launch the national contest “Overcoming the fear of nCoV”.

The program is organized by Central Executive Committee of the HCYU, the Central Vietnamese Students’ Association and implemented by the Vietnamese Student Development and Support Centre with the companionship of Green+ Group, Fund for the Quality of Life, Hoa Binh Construction Group, Nippon Paint (Vietnam) Co., Ltd and Binh Duong Mineral And Construction Joint Stock Company.

The Video Clip composing contest “Overcoming the fear of nCoV” takes place in the form of: the contestant takes a video clip recording the image of practicing 7 movements of the exercise “Overcoming the fear of nCoV” by Author Dang Duc Thanh (Pounder of the 120-year-old Club, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Green + Group) on the background of the song ” Let’s Fight Covid!”.

The contest was organized to promptly adapt to epidemic conditions with the aim of guiding home workouts, increasing awareness about the role and effects of exercise and sports in protecting and improving health. In addition, propagandize and appeal pupils, students, union members, and young people to create habits, actively exercise, improve the health of each individual and community, contribute to preventing and fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The contest “Overcoming the fear of nCoV” is open to pupils, students or groups of pupils and students studying at high schools, Continuing Education Center, academies, universities, colleges at both at home and abroad, youth and others interested in. The application period is from January 20, 2022 to February 28, 2022. Contest participants will upload video clips to google drive in public mode and submit registration information to participate in the Contest at website: vuotquancov.doanthanhnien.vn.

Eligible products will be posted on the website of the competition to participate in the Premiere Round and vote online. The final round of the contest “Overcoming the fear of nCoV” is expected to be out on March 12, 2022. Here, the Jury will decide the products to receive the Contest prizes based on the voting results and overall evaluation of the quality of videos and clips (according to the percentage of voting points accounting for 30%; Jury score accounting for 70% of total points). The contest summary ceremony and awarding is expected to be held on March 27, 2022.
