Towards the central region of Ly Son – Quang Ngai in the 10th “Free medical examination and medicines offered ” program

In about October 2020, the Central region suffered from storms, causing great damage to people and properties. Ly Son island district in Quang Ngai province is also one of the localities suffering a lot of damage caused by storms. The local health system has been severely affected and has not yet fully recovered. Besides, education is also seriously affected, property damage of educational institutions, teaching and learning of students is also disrupted.

In that context, the Golden Heart Foundation, the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University and the authorities at all levels of Quang Ngai Province organized the meaningful program “Free medical examination and medicines offered ” to share some of the difficulties of local citizens as well as repaying for the favour, protecting and taking care of people’s health. At the same time, creating conditions for teachers and students to soon return teaching and learning.

From November 21 to November 22, 2020, the Organizing Committee coordinated with the Military Headquarters of Ly Son district to carry out health care activities for citizens in Ly Son island district with activities such as: organizing free medical examination and medicines offered for 700 citizens; giving 10 gifts to teachers with difficult circumstances; giving 100 gifts to disadvantaged students on the island; support home repair items for citizens after the storm…

The program does not only stop at material support but also a great spiritual encouragement for people in Ly Son island district to soon overcome difficulties and partially overcome the consequences of natural disasters; encourage teachers and students to constantly strive and achieve high academic achievement.
